Replace the manual refresh loop.
Manual refresh wastes hours
Reloading the same search tabs all day is guesswork. You either check too often and burn time, or too rarely and miss the deal. A monitor checks for you on a fixed cadence.
Saved-search emails are slow and thin
eBay’s saved-search emails arrive late, bundle everything into one digest, and carry no price-drop detection or total-cost context. By the time you open them, the good listing is gone.
A real monitor needs memory
Useful monitoring needs cadence, a record of what it has already seen, and alert routing. TruffleHunt snapshots every listing so it can tell a genuinely new match from one you saw yesterday.
How eBay search monitoring works.
Three steps to turn a saved search into a monitor that keeps working after you close the tab.
Paste your saved search URL.
Copy any eBay search or saved-search URL and drop it into TruffleHunt. The keywords, price range, condition, Buy-It-Now and region filters you already set are preserved where supported.
Choose your cadence and filters.
Set how often the hunt polls — within the limits of your plan — and refine with negative keywords and seller filters. The hunt keeps running after you close the tab.
Review alerts and activity.
Each poll compares fresh results against what it has seen. New listings and fixed-price drops fire an alert with image, total landed cost, seller trust, and a direct eBay link, and land in your activity feed.
Polling cadence depends on your plan — free and trial hunts run on a slower cadence, and paid plans poll faster, as fast as every minute on Hunter Pro. Exact availability follows the current pricing.
Every signal a search can change.
New results
Listings the hunt has not seen before. When a matching item shows up in your search, it is flagged as new — not buried in a once-a-day digest.
Price drops
Fixed-price listings getting cheaper. TruffleHunt remembers the last price it saw and alerts you when a Buy-It-Now ask falls. Auction bid movement is not advertised as a price drop.
Total landed cost
Price plus shipping, together. A $180 item with $35 shipping is not cheaper than a $205 free-shipping listing — every alert shows the number that actually matters.
Seller context
Feedback score and seller signals travel with each alert, so you can judge whether a listing is worth a click before you open it.
Quota health
Bring your own eBay API keys and your daily quota is yours alone — not pooled and rationed across thousands of other customers behind a shared queue.
Built for serious sourcing.
Resellers tracking multiple niches
Run a separate hunt per niche — electronics, collectibles, auto parts — and let each one watch its own search shape independently.
Deal hunters watching rare SKUs
Monitor model numbers, rare parts, sizes, and colorways so a listing that appears once a month does not slip past you.
Teams sourcing together
Hunter and Hunter Pro can pipe alerts into a shared Discord channel so a sourcing crew works the same deal flow.
Power buyers with too many tabs
Close the dozen search tabs you keep reloading and let one dashboard surface only the changes worth acting on.

eBay search monitoring, answered.
Can I monitor an existing eBay saved search?
Yes. Open your saved search on eBay, copy the URL from the address bar, and paste it into TruffleHunt to create a hunt. The keywords, price range, condition, Buy-It-Now and region filters carry over where supported, and you can add negative keywords or seller filters afterward.
How often does TruffleHunt check searches?
Polling cadence depends on your plan. Free and trial hunts run on a slower cadence, and paid plans poll faster — as fast as every minute on Hunter Pro. Exact availability follows the current pricing config, and you choose a cadence within your plan’s limits when you set up the hunt.
Does it use my eBay account?
No. TruffleHunt never logs in as a buyer and never touches your eBay account. It reads public search results through eBay’s official Browse API using developer credentials. Once you are past the free trial hunt, you connect your own free eBay developer keys so calls run against your own API quota.
Can it monitor multiple searches?
Yes. Each search is its own hunt with its own cadence, filters, and activity feed. Run several in parallel — one per niche or item — up to the hunt limit on your plan. Forager keeps 3 free hunts; higher plans allow more.
Is TruffleHunt affiliated with eBay?
TruffleHunt is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by eBay. It uses eBay’s official Browse API with sanctioned developer credentials. It does not scrape eBay, automate purchases, bid, or log in as a buyer.
Put your eBay searches on autopilot.
Paste a search, pick a cadence, and let TruffleHunt watch it for you. Your first real hunt is free — no eBay keys required to start.
